Basically for advertising in Amazon, there are two types of advertisement for reseller:

1) Keyword targeting - allows you to choose keywords to show your products in customer searches and detail pages when customer using similar keywords as yours, to search for their desired products.

2) Product targeting - choose specific products, categories, brands, or other product features that are relevant to the product . To help customer discover your product when browsing detail pages and categories,

Both advertisement is charge when a customer click on your sponsored listing.
